About Edmiston Creations
Looking to Unlock Your Potential? Let’s Work Together…
The Goal of Edmiston Creations, A bit about Me, and The Services I Offer…
My overarching goal with Edmiston Creations is to integrate the facets of my life—mental health, athletics, and making—into service offerings.
I’ve been a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2014, and I am a former professional athlete. I competed internationally for the United States in the disciplines of Long Course Triathlon, Long Course Duathlon, and Road Cycling. I currently complete in Xterra Triathlons, Mountain Bike Events, and Running Races. I love doing CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting in the off-season. Through movement and making my own clothes I have learned how to be open to what is in front of me in the moment, which in turn allows me to access the gifts I have to engage in life fully.
I offer therapy for individuals and couples, as well as individual life coaching sessions. These sessions are collaborative and person-centered, supporting your identification of values-based goals. My therapeutic approach blends Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with multiple evidence-based modalities to help you unlock your full potential. Whether it is working through trauma, blocking beliefs, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, poor confidence, or you are looking to build mental toughness towards personal goals… I’m here to support you in discovering your own authentic path using a values-oriented, actionable approach tailored to your identified needs. All life coaching and therapy services are offered online, in the comfort of your own home. Contact me for a free consultation to determine which service would best suit your needs and for pricing information. See the individual service pages for Therapy & Life Coaching for details for these services.
Offering Mental Performance Coaching integrates my experience as a professional athlete and my expertise as a licensed mental health professional. In these focused sessions, we will work towards your performance goals and identified mental barriers that block your progress. I can help you move through visualization exercises, learn mental reframing techniques, and practice acceptance strategies to lean into discomfort or unexpected situations. Injuries can be particularly tough to work through, and I can help support you staying mentally engaged with your training in a way that is healthy while working through feelings that come up as a result of the injury. I offer both individual and group mental performance services, see the page here for details.
I am also available for Mindful Making Collaborations, integrating my experience as a maker and my expertise as a licensed mental health professional. Bringing in gratitude and mindfulness into your making practice is grounding and empowering. I teach classes on blending flexible gratitude and mindfulness practices with the making process. I am open to various Making Collaborations—including, but not limited to: in person presentations and classes, partnerships for making projects, editing or previewing making related content, teaching online classes, and writing gratitude prompts for journaling and reflection aligned with making. As a creative individual, I want to embrace opportunity with open arms and consider the time commitment involved… no matter what your idea may be for collaboration, let’s chat and see what creative projects we can work together on!
“…when we pursue excellence, we transcend our small selves—the parts of us that worry, doubt, and fear—and enter into something larger, a dance with the universe. We experience the opposite of existential loneliness: We feel whole and settled, at home in ourselves and at home in the world.”
— Brad Stulberg, The Way of Excellence
